FEMA Education Course Overview
The goal of this Seismic Rehabilitation Training for One- and Two-Family Wood-Frame Dwellings is to promote seismic rehabilitation of one- and two-family dwellings. Completing this training will help you learn to identify common seismic vulnerabilities, and learn about rehabilitation approaches and available guidelines.
If you are completing your CEA Brace + Bolt retrofit as an owner-builder we recommend you complete this training before beginning the retrofit work.
This training was developed from FEMA P-593, funded by the Federal Emergency Management Agency (FEMA). This version of the training has been modified for use in California, and in particular for use with the International Existing Building Code (IEBC) Chapter A3, as adopted by reference in the CEBC 2010 Edition.
