10 Year Anniversary of the Baja California Earthquake: CEA Looks Back

CEA’s CEO, Glenn Pomeroy, looks back at the damage caused by the Baja California Earthquake in 2010. It was Easter Sunday, April 4, when the magnitude 7.2 earthquake struck south of U.S. border with Mexico and was felt in Southern California, impacting Calexico, El Centro and parts of San Diego County. The shake caused structural damage on both sides of the border. Sadly, two people died in Mexico. Today, Southern California is still at risk of being impacted by a damaging earthquake, therefore it is important to be prepared.
