More than 200 people gathered on June 24 at the American Red Cross Los Angeles Region’s 2019 Annual Meeting, which celebrated the amazing work of the organization’s humanitarian services volunteers, staff and collaborative partners. CEA was recognized for its “remarkable spirit and great partnership” while working with the American Red Cross throughout the years.

Bruce Daly, vice chair of the Los Angeles Region Board of Directors for the American Red Cross, handed the “Chair’s Excellence Award” to our CEO, Glenn Pomeroy. Daly’s remarks emphasized the generous donations raised by CEA, in coordination with iHeartMedia, through the annual Get Prepared, California! Auction. Proceeds raised through this auction have benefited the American Red Cross’ disaster-preparedness and relief efforts. Just this year alone, the Get Prepared, California! Auction raised $175,882, bringing the overall total to more than $1.4 million since 2012.

In another effort benefiting the American Red Cross, CEA presented a check to the Desert to the Sea Region during a fun Rancho Cucamonga Quakes baseball game on June 4. That check, in the amount of $1,116, was the result of a special Quakes jersey auction sponsored by CEA, which took place during CEA's Earthquake Preparedness Night at LoanMart Field in April.
