It was during “Earthquake Preparedness Night 2018,” proudly sponsored by CEA, that the Rancho Cucamonga Quakes rocked the stadium with a franchise-best winning streak of 14 straight games. That evening, April 21, the Minor League Baseball team was also a key participant of a successful charitable act: The players wore specially designed earthquake-themed jerseys, presented by CEA, that served a special mission—they each were signed by a Quakes player and then auctioned off to fans who attended the game. That night, a total of 28 jerseys were auctioned, raising nearly $1,900 in proceeds for the American Red Cross. The winning fans went home with the satisfaction of knowing that every penny they had bid through the auction was for a good cause.

Aug. 17 was another special Quakes game. This time, CEA CEO Glenn Pomeroy, along with Rancho Cucamonga Quakes Vice President/General Manager Grant Riddle, presented the auction proceeds from April 21 to Jon Myers from the American Red Cross Los Angeles Region. The auction proceeds will be used to fund natural-disaster-preparedness and relief efforts in California
