CEA and iHeartMedia representatives presented the American Red Cross with a check for $174,850 at KIIS-FM's Wango Tango concert event in Los Angeles on May 14.
The check represented the proceeds from the 2016 Get Prepared, California! AuctionSM, which offered exclusive items for bid — such as a ride aboard the Goodyear Blimp, a Chevy Silverado filled with earthquake-preparedness supplies and multiple music packages — and raised money for American Red Cross disaster-preparedness programs in California.
CEA also sponsored the Village pre-show area at KIIS-FM's Wango Tango, which had as its theme an overnight earthquake and included a shake trailer, as well as a mobile pavilion where attendees could learn about earthquake risks in their region.
More than 22,000 people attended the sold-out event, which featured performers including Meghan Trainor, Gwen Stefani, and Ariana Grande.
