CEA Sponsors National Earthquake Conference in Long Beach

May 4, 2016

CEA was the presenting sponsor of the National Earthquake Conference, held May 4-6 in Long Beach.

The conference gathers together experts from across the globe to share the latest advances in earthquake science, best practices for outreach and education, building science and code advancement, and policy initiatives that improve resiliency and preparedness.

CEA's CEO, Glenn Pomeroy, joined representatives of the Federal Alliance for Safe Homes and the Federal Emergency Management Agency to kick off the quadrennial conference and welcome attendees. He also moderated a panel titled "Reducing Risk — The Role Insurance Plays in Building Resilient Communities."

CEA Chief Mitigation Officer Janiele Maffei participated in a panel called "Taking it to the Streets," about preparedness in the private sector and initiatives to increase resiliency.
