Partnering with CEA, KGO-TV in San Francisco devoted its morning newscast to promoting earthquake awareness and preparation two days before the Loma Prieta 25 year anniversary. Representatives from USGS, CEA and local government talked about local risk and the importance of earthquake insurance.
Also featured was life-like chalk art showing what streets and sidewalks could look like after an earthquake.
